‘Largest Motorbike Convoy’ Hari Raya Charity Ride for FoodBank

A total of 708 bikes from more than 150 bike groups from Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei made history with a new Singapore Book of Records (SBR) for the ‘Largest Motorbike Convoy’ at the ‘Hari Raya Charity Ride’, on Sunday, 30 June 2019. This surpassed the previous SBR record of just 200 bikes. The Hari Raya Charity Ride was organised by Bikers Unions SG and Singapore Bikerz Inclub to help raise funds for Jamiyah Foodbank.

It was graced by President Halimah Yacob as the Guest-of-Honour. The convoy was flagged off by Mr Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee, husband of President Halimah Yacob, at Kallang Leisure Park Car Park to Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS). Malaysian rock star Dato’ Awie also joined the convoy. The bikers from the Bikers Unions SG and Singapore Bikerz Inclub often volunteer at Jamiyah events, such as the Singapore Muslim Festival 2019 and Rasulullah (SAW) Artefact Exhibition in 2018.

President of Jamiyah Singapore, Prof (Adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar thanked all the bikers in his speech who have been actively helping out at Jamiyah events over the past years as well as all the volunteers who participated in the Hari Raya Charity Ride event. Congratulations to all the riders and a huge thank you to them for their avid volunteerism!
