As part of Jamiyah Singapore’s annual initiative, on Hari Raya Haji, Jamiyah distributed Korban meat to 100 needy beneficiaries at the Jamiyah Halfway House (Darul Islah) on 11 August 2019. The Korban meat comprised contribution from donors and the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Singapore which had purchased 20 sheep. Gracing the event as Guest-of-Honor was Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Social and Family Development.
SPS Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim mentioned that he is heartened by the spirit of sharing at the distribution of the korban meat. He took note that this good example of sharing was made possible by the prosperity that Singapore enjoys. A huge thank you to our donors, volunteers and staff for their help during the event!
