Ms Claire Chiang, Senior Vice President, Banyan Tree Holdings & Co-Founder of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts
Ms Claire Chiang is also the Chairperson for China Business Development and Banyan Tree Global Foundation, an associate of Banyan Tree Holdings. Her role involves directing and guiding the evolving process of the group’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its mission to “Embrace the Environment, Empower the People”. Mdm Chiang serves as the Director and Non-Executive Chairperson of Wildlife Reserves Singapore as well as the Chairperson of Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund. She serves on numerous public and private Boards and has won national and international awards for her advocacy in social and community issues. She is a member of the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy led by the Ministry of Manpower and the Chairperson of Employer Alliance which is a network committed to creating an enabling work environment to empower work flexibility and engagement. Ms Chiang is also a mother to three children.
Dr Bibi Jan Ayyub

Dr Bibi Jan holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Durham, UK, Master of Education from the National University of Singapore, and Master of Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University. As an educator and counsellor, she has worked with many teenagers and their families to address a variety of issues. Currently, she is the member of the Committee of Fostering, National Council of Problem Gambling and the Advisory Board of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MFS). She is also a founding member of Club HEAL in 2012 to address the needs of the people with mental health issues. As a resource person for the family life education programme, she has conducted numerous public talks and seminars and worked with government and non-governmental organization. Her extensive involvement in the community work has led her to be conferred with Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (PBM) or Public Service Award, Public Star Award or Bintang Bakti Masyarakat (BBM) by the President of Singapore and the Comrade of Labour Award by the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC). She is married with six children.

The first Singapore woman to be appointed as managing director of an international bank, Mrs Laura Hwang was the former President of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO). She is also a trustee of the KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund.

Mdm Sarojini was a Director of Human resource in one of the statutory boards in Singapore before her secondment to the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) in January 2010. Mdm Sarojini holds a Master Degree with specialisation in Training and Development and has obtained Parenting Facilitator Programme by MCYS and Diploma in Family Life Education conferred by the Lee Community College. Mdm Sarojini is happily married with 3 lovely grown-up daughters.

As an advocate of women wellbeing in Singapore, Ms Joanna has indulged herself in a wide array of women leadership and activities particularly under the side network of People’s Association Singapore.

Mdm Shesikala is a strong advocate of education, currently holding the position as a Director of Pre-schools at Modern Montessori International Pte Ltd and an esteemed lecturer of Montessori Method of Education (Singapore and Southeast Asia). Happily married with 3 grown up children, Mdm Shesikala is actively involved in the community services specifically in counselling works dealing with teenagers and families. She has a Master’s degree in Education from Monash University, Australia, and is a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Trainer.

Ms Lim Kar Yee is a working Mother of two children. She cooks for her family every day while juggling her job as a Senior Director in the People’s Association. She sits on the Scouts Council and volunteers with NGOs. She was a former Board Director at the Singapore Science Centre. As a working mother, wife and daughter, she understands the difficulty of the modern woman to find a balance between home and work as well as finding time to volunteer in the society.
