Jamiyah Singapore had, since its inception in 1932, expanded its scope to cater to the varying needs of the community. It provides education and developmental programmes to the young and adults at its education centres. Jamiyah early childhood education centres held its graduation ceremony on Saturday, 15th November 2008 at 2.00pm at the Civil Service Club, Tessensohn Road. The participating centres are Jamiyah Kindergarten, Jamiyah Childcare Centre and Global Child Development Centre. Rear Admiral (NS) Lui Tuck Yew, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, was the Guest of Honour. A total of 63 graduands received their graduation certificates from the Guest of Honour. The event was generously sponsored by Signature Beaute, Young Social Entrepreneur of Temasek Polytechnic, Amazeal Pte Ltd and Katong Flowershop Pte Ltd. Besides giving the students at these centres an excellent opportunity to be taught basic knowledge and skills that can help build a strong foundation in education from young, our early childhood centres also endeavours to imbibe values and nurture students to be individuals appreciative not only of their parents and teachers but also of their country. |
