JAMIYAH KINDERGARTEN AND TANGLIN TRUST PARTNERSHIP VISITS |
| On May 4th and 18th, 2009, Kindergarten students from Tanglin Trust visited Jamiyah Singapore as part of the ongoing collaboration between Jamiyah Kindergarten and Tanglin Trust. These visits provide international exposure to our 5 to 6 year-olds and the friendships built would certainly be good for the children. Both groups can find out about other races and religions and both can definitely learn and benefit from the exchange. Lots of fun at the various cornersThe Kindergarten was transformed into fun-filled corners, from the Story-Telling station to the Batik Painting corner. Of course, the children could not wait to try out the ‘Cookery’ station. The Jamiyah Kindergarten teachers gave some information on the Satay but the children were really more excited to try out some delicious treats! They actually used sausages instead of satay to barbecue. Guess the satay may be a bit too spicy and hard for the children to munch, thus the substitute with sausages Good thinking teachers! Farewell Dance of FriendshipThe children had an enjoyable time swaying to the tune of the Malay dance. Wow! Jamiyah Singapore providing a cultural immersion not to be forgotten. |
