Conversion Services
History |
| Since 1932, Jamiyah has been a registration centre for non-Muslims who wish to embrace Islam out of their own free will. Since then, thousands of people of various races and religions have converted to Islam here. The converts are encouraged to attend basic religious lessons twice a week, separately for male and female, for 3 months. During that period, they are taught the fundamentals of Islam. These include performing the ablution, prayer, recitation of the AL-Quran and Hadiths studies. These converts are guided by experienced and qualified teachers. Those with problems after embracing Islam will be given whatever assistance necessary to overcome their problems. This department will give advice to ensure that converts maintain good relationships with their families although they are of different faiths.
