Darul Islah

Objectives

To serve as a centre for rehabilitation of substance abusers
to lead a new life before they are released and reintegrated into society. 

History

Drug addiction poses problems for the family, the community and
the nation. A vacated Govt. building at Pasir Panjang Road was renovated
and the Singapore Corporation Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE) in
cooperation with Jamiyah set up the halfway house administered by
Jamiyah. Darul Islah was officially opened by
the then Parliamentary Secretary of Home Affairs,
Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, on the 17th August 1996.

Services

We Provides religious programmes (for all residents).
Family Support Groups are also part of the rehabilitation programme.
We have a vocational training programme (An ITE Approved Training Centre),
where residents can attained Certificate of Competency in Electrical if they successfully complete the course.

Facilities

We can accomodate 70 ex-drug addicts
